More about Samuel’s success can be found on the ISCM website.

He is one of the prominent figures of the youngest generation of Slovak composers, and his music has often transcended the boundaries of student festivals. His orchestral composition Acheron, with which he won the Competition for Slovak Conservatory Students, was performed as part of the subscription series of the State Philharmonic Košice. His ensemble composition Regerna Symbio Irbis was included in the program of last year’s Bratislava concert by the renowned Ensemble Modern. In addition to traditional composition, he also engages in electronic music and has had his first experiences with composing film music. Samuel Hvozdík. (Robert Kolář, Hudobný život 03/2018)
